You are proactive in removing roadblocks, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives and be able to help teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals. You are able to handle business escalations with a data-driven approach to build trust with engineers and program owners.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead a team of Operations Managers, Program Managers, and Security Analysts operating in AWS Security Operations Center
• Maintain a prioritized roadmap to address gaps and improve practices.
• Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups as part of the organization’s security effort.
• Networks with other leaders across the network to solicit feedback and share process improvements focused on raising the security bar
• Sets clear goals and expectations with the team. Measures performance, provides feedback, and mentor & develop the leaders
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 7 years of experience in physical security industry as a leader, PM, or consultant
• 5 years or experience leading team of Security professionals in a Security Operations Center environment
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, International Relations, Engineering, or other related fields
• 7 years of experience with implementation of physical security protocols specifically in large-scale, mission critical, high security environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with compliance requirements related to access control systems and facilities
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure and operations
• Deep understanding of Security Operations center tasks and responsibilities
• Familiarity with cloud computing services
• Demonstrate innovative approaches to solving security needs
• Familiarity with Fortune 100 security best practices
• Have experience generating documentation and reports to describe service and program impact/effectiveness and consistency
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
