The Partner Management team is responsible for the relationship between Amazon and our payment processors across the globe.
You must possess the drive and attention to detail that transforms your vision into reality. You must be able to communicate well with all areas and levels within the company. You will work with key clients and stakeholders across Amazon including: software development, security, operations, product management and partnering enterprise teams. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader in a fast-paced, demanding environment, have a payments background and have experience managing teams that drive operational excellence by influencing others.
The ideal candidate has a strong history of managing others and is a motivated self-starter that can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. He or she must be a fast learner, who can quickly absorb the nuances of Amazon's varied payment offerings as well as the behavior of Amazon's internal systems. He or she must be analytical and data driven in decision making, with a demonstrated ability to drive issues to completion. The candidate should demonstrate an ability to develop others and must have superior verbal and written communication skills to be comfortable presenting issues to management.
Key job responsibilities
Direct responsibility for the management and development of 5 program managers while interacting with global colleagues to ensure strong performance of this key team within Amazon’s Payments Operations.
Manage operational relationships with third party partnerships and internal customers.
Drive large scale initiatives to improve customers' payments experience.
Lead, prioritize and direct the team to ensure that key metrics and SLAs are met and improved.
Identify operational gaps in new offerings and set operational requirements for new projects.
Identify key business relationships and build a partnership for understanding challenges and opportunities.
You will be expected to dive deep in all areas of your team. This role is both strategic and hands-on!
You will be expected to demonstrate significant annual efficiency improvements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience positioning and selling innovative solutions to new and existing customers and market segments
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in business development, product management, and/or P&L general management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of procurement and source to pay processes and solutions or equivalent experience
- Experience identifying trends and needs to improve an already closed large-scale technology deal

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $176,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
