Job summary
The Sr. Program Manager will have oversight of AWS expansions and will be responsible for driving effective people, processes, and technological improvements through the order to cash (O2C) lifecycle to achieve organizational goals and deliver results.

Primary areas of responsibility include:

  • Ownership and implementation of AWS expansions into new and emerging markets
  • Partner with key counterparts across geographies to launch initiatives in a scalable and cost effective manner
  • Develop a solid understanding of Amazon’s Finance Operations systems and processes
  • Define and implement standards for business integration program management
  • Translate complex business requirements into functional designs
  • Oversee comprehensive testing of systems changes and development of standard operating procedures, process documentation and performance metrics
  • Manage process transitions/implementations across multiple functions and geographies
  • Motivate and influence business, operational and technical teams to ensure that best practices are followed and implemented
  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate risks at multiple levels
  • Proactively monitor program performance to identify, address and prevent potential issues
  • Address barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination with stakeholders
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
  • Responsible for partnering with operational readiness to measure the success of the launches via post launch KPIs (i.e. 31 PD, automated cash application rate, negative response rate, etc.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional projects and programs with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in Finance Operations (AR preferred, AP or accounting)

  • 5 years of experience in process definition, having taken a process from concept to execution
  • Prior experience in a Program Management or Project Management role on a global scale
  • Previous experience supporting Finance projects
  • PMP or willingness to obtain certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to travel (infrequently)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • International experience at a multinational organization a plus
  • Experience with complex problem solving using Lean / Six Sigma techniques a plus
  • Independent and entrepreneurial style showing the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • B2B industry experience a plus
