DESCRIPTION

We, the Brand Posts & Feeds team, build experiences that connect brands to their shoppers through authentic, lifestyle content and enable brands to communicate their values to shoppers on Amazon. Brands create rich image and video content through Posts, which help shoppers across Amazon’s shopping journey on our Search, Detail Page and in Feed experiences. We help create, sustain and deepen the connection between brands and their consumers on Amazon to help make better shopping decisions. We empower brands of all sizes, to tell their story in their own unique voice to consumers. Brands utilize our products to create delightful and engaging shopping experiences that assist shoppers in discovering and evaluating them as part of purchase decisions. We succeed when brands can attract and retain shopper’s attention using our products. Greater brand awareness and engagement with brands result in increased sales for the brand on Amazon. Brands utilize content and data from our products in their advertising campaigns to drive their target shoppers to our products. As the flywheel turns, our success is materialized in terms of higher sales at Amazon and increasing Ad spend aimed at driving traffic to our products.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to build an experience that can help brands showcase their products, tell their brand stories, and express their brand value. In this role you will be building high quality, reliable systems to enable advertisers to create and manage Posts, and also building highly scalable, distributed systems to provide advertising metrics in a feedback loop to educate brands on how to create more engaging content. We’re investing in AI technologies that can help brands improve productivity on delivering higher quality and quantity content to our customers. You will work directly with Engineering, Data, Science and Product peers within your team to iterate and ship new ideas.



Key job responsibilities
* Design and build full-stack solutions.
* Use your problem-solving skills, collaborating with creative and technical teams, thinking-big and inventing and simplifying to solve challenges.
* Deliver novel customer experiences by developing solutions.
* Collaborate with teams across Amazon to integrate and optimize existing ad products to take advantage of Amazon's scale and reach.
* Leverage your technical ability, excellent organizational and communication skills to build and solve challenging and ambiguous problems. You'll use your ingenuity and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
* Provide guidance to and mentor other SDEs in the team.
* Be responsible for high quality bar, ensuring quality design reviews and robust engineering practices for automated testing and code coverage.

About the team
The Brand Posts & Feeds Advertiser Experience Team develops the platform to create Post content. The platform is built with cutting-edge in-house Amazon Advertising UI stack backed by state-of-the-art AWS technologies to ensure we can scale for a rapidly growing business. We integrate with different Advertising systems that can enhance the brand-building capabilities on our platform so we can better connect brands and our shoppers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
