DESCRIPTION
Job summary
Amazon's Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to push forward a full stack engineering team that will develop a category-creating product sitting at the intersection of business intelligence and investment analysis.
This is a well-funded, greenfield initiative and the chance for you to be a Day 1 member on a team whose north star is to bring Amazon's grasp of customers and business trends to the next level. The startup environment you will enter comes with more autonomy, more opportunities to influence product direction, less operational debt and external dependencies than most teams at Amazon. The product's range spans every business at Amazon, and is attentive to all customer segments including consumers, developers, advertisers, sellers, and creators. The upside for your career include a rare degree of leadership visibility and rapid scope expansion of responsibilities.
The role requires above all 1) the expertise to build scalable, reliable, high-performing and extensible software, 2) a track record of delivering products from scratch, and 3) the ability to deal with ambiguous problems with an entrepreneurial spirit. As a candidate, you have a passion for building cutting-edge solutions that 1) leverage natural language processing and other ML methods over high-cardinality, heterogenous datasets and 2) interface intuitively with business users to capture their feedback and enable faster and better decisions, and 3) build web services by diving deep into system architecture, making technology decisions, and contributing to others' code reviews.
Expect stimulating, passionate, and caring co-workers. We offer competitive pay, stock grants, and great benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k with matching, and more. This role is based in the Bay Area. Domestic relocation is available for qualified candidates. Join us!
