Job Overview: Solutions CAD designer creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering. Contributes design modifications to facilitate installation of system. Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards. Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation. May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage.
Key job responsibilities
- Create or modify CAD drawings based on input provided by design engineering
- Conduct interference checks on CAD drawings
- Perform quality control procedures on CAD drawings
- Generate output files for partner teams to consume

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using AutoCAD and commercial off the shelf technologies for CAD automation
- Experience working with CAD drawings and design standards
- Experience with REVIT
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; mechanical, industrial, process, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams
- Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced agile environment
- Some experience with process design based on Lean Principles

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $48,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $93,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
