Amazon Launchpad is a program where we work with the startup investment community (including crowdfunding sites, incubators, and venture capitalists) to identify exciting startups and emerging brands, and then help those small businesses take advantage of our world-class retail expertise and global infrastructure to launch, market, sell, and deliver their products to Amazon customers globally. The program started in 2015 in the US and now operates worldwide. We are just getting started and there are many opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers.
As the Leader of Brand Experience for Amazon Launchpad, you will develop and shape this large-scale global program to serve startups-as-customer. You will lead a scrappy team to define and launch new initiatives that address startup pain points, accelerate startup growth on Amazon, and deliver value added services to brands so they get ongoing value from the program. This is a highly visible role, and you will work with business and technical leaders across the company to realize this vision.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in leading teams that include program management, account management, and business development. He/she will be an experienced people leader, adept at inspiring others to create world-class customer experiences and build large scale businesses. The candidate must be able to understand customer needs deeply and translate those needs into innovations that surprise and delight. The role requires excellent judgment, executive communications skills, and the ability to get stuff done in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Track record of defining and delivering innovative big ideas, and then scaling those big ideas into meaningful businesses.
- History of hiring and developing great talent, and building high-performing teams.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills; bias towards data-based decision making and proficiency with pro-forma financial and operational analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to write and present in well-structured, clear, concise, but detail-oriented manner.
- Bachelor’s degree. If degree is non-technical, then demonstrated technical aptitude is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA degree
- General management experience with P&L responsibility.
- Innate ability to inspire passion in others; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision.
- High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in the heat of battle.
- Communication and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust up, down, and across the company.
- A strong eye for simplification of customer experience and process scalability.
- Extreme curiosity and appetite for learning and growth. Raw horsepower and potential to take on more responsibility quickly, and the flexibility to lead other important initiatives over time.
