Help shape the future of Amazon and MGM! Amazon seeks a Treasury Analyst to join the MGM Treasury Team, which oversees cash management and banking activities globally for MGM, all while working hard, having fun, and making history for the iconic studio. The primary focus of this role is bank account management, which includes cash management service implementation, bank portal access management, control execution, and the development of new and efficient processes for executing these activities.
This position requires a self-starter who can work effectively with Treasury stakeholders and Treasury’s diverse internal and external customers including Production Finance, Amazon Corporate Treasury, and more. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively and proactively with these stakeholders in order to implement banking solutions that meet their needs. This person should possess solid business judgment, be detail oriented, and be able to keep projects and materials clearly organized as we work to efficiently support MGM productions. He or she should also possess the ability explain Treasury’s controllership priorities and rationales to stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
• Onboard, close, and maintain bank accounts for various corporate and production entities.
• Own a queue of bank system requests and provide excellent customer service by ensuring user access is functioning as expected.
• Review the controls that ensure access to systems and bank accounts remains in compliance with policy requirements.
• Populate and analyze MGM’s quarterly controllership package covering banking access and signatories across the company
• Design and develop reports and metrics for monitoring access requests and team responsiveness.
• Document processes clearly and consistently and help drive documentation standardization.
• Work closely with the internal stakeholders and third-party providers on new banking implementations.
• Ensure compliance with Treasury guidelines and policies including Banking Authority, Investments, and Foreign Exchange.
• Assist with special Treasury projects such as bank migrations and implementation of new bank portals.
A day in the life
On an average day, The MGM Treasury Analyst receives a request to start the opening of a new bank account and begins the process. They check the status of outstanding bank account opening requests to ensure the process is progressing smoothly with the bank. As new accounts are opened, the Analyst organizes and stores electronic banking materials to ensure records are accurate and complete. They submit update requests to Amazon Corporate Treasury to ensure Amazon’s systems accurately reflect MGM’s banking infrastructure. Finally, they are always on the lookout for incoming requests from customers who have banking system challenges that need immediate support.
About the team
The MGM Treasury team is a focused on providing Treasury services to MGM production teams. While MGM Treasury is part of Amazon Treasury and is able to leverage Amazon tools, systems, and processes, MGM Treasury’s customers are exclusively in the TV/theatrical production business. The team sits together in LA alongside other MGM production teams, and near Amazon Studios teams. The team’s mission is to enable banking products and services that allow TV/theatrical productions to proceed as efficiently as possible while maintaining controls in line with Amazon’s requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 years of finance experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field

- Ability to work independently, manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and exceed expectations in a fast-paced, dynamic, ambiguous environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,200/year in our highest geographic market.
