What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metrologist position at AmbioPharm, Inc.?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Basic understanding and knowledge of instrumentation, lab functions, and techniques to identify problems and trouble shoot problems to the completion of work assignments.
- Conducts calibration, qualification, and support of laboratory instrumentation such as UPLCs, HPLCs, GCs, UV spectrophotometers, MALS, IC, MS, and other related analytical and process equipment.
- Prepare detailed and accurate documentation of testing performed and works within the inhouse SOPs and industry standards for compliance.
- Maintains the monitoring system and laboratory incubators.
- Ensures adherence to personnel and equipment SOPs and other regulatory requirements.
- Pays specific attention to equipment operating practices and conditions to minimize equipment down time, lower maintenance costs, reduce time to run project and repeat of work.
- Provides troubleshooting support as needed.
- May conduct training sessions one-on-one or for groups and peer reviews.
- Develop teamwork and communication skills through active listening and honest dialog with peers and supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with internal team personnel, as well as external team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Engineering or Electronics.
- 1-3 years’ experience working with HPLC’s is required.
- Proficiency in use of software including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and writing.
Salary : $51,800 - $65,600
