Ambipar Response/One Stop Environmental is known throughout the Southeast for being an efficient and cost-effective environmental contractor. Who we are looking for: Motivated individuals who enjoy working with their hands, operating equipment, working on small teams and ready to make an impact on the success of the company! Environmental technicians are expected to inspect and maintain equipment, control and manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, collect samples, manage waste operations, and assist with regulatory compliance and other duties as needed. In addition to normal business hours, environmental technicians must be willing to work overtime, extended hours, and various shifts including nights and weekends as needed. Able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments. Experience working outside in all types of weather conditions. Preferred experience. 1-3 years’ experience in industrial services and/or emergency spill response; HAZWOPER 40 Certified Experience to be considered. Construction, military veteran, or oil & gas industry. What you’ll do: Perform a variety of task related to emergency response, remediation, and industrial projects. Adhere to company safety standards and procedures. Perform spill clean-ups, and other job duty requirements while wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Use vacuum hose to remove sand, sludge, oil, water, and various other liquids and solids. Load and offload drums, totes, and other containers onto truck. Load and offload equipment from vehicles, structures, and trailers. Perform preventative maintenance checks on assigned equipment and report defects to supervisor. Assist Driver Operator with safely operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining company vacuum trucks to include liquid, dry, and hydro exaction rigs and associated tools and equipment. Assist Driver Operators and fellow Technicians with performing all onsite duties/task in accordance with job requirements. Use company provided technology for all required project documents and pictures, and time keeping. Assist with the overall safety of company personnel onsite. Ensure all personnel are wearing the proper PPE
