Job Description
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Office of General Counsel is responsible for providing legal advice to the business. This includes a wide range of substantive areas including commercial law, corporate governance, labor and employment, intellectual property, securities law and merger and acquisitions. The intern will work with some of these substantive areas depending upon the needs of the business, becoming directly involved in a broad range of legal matters. The intern would be expected to be able to conduct research, review documents and draft memoranda. The exact dates are flexible and first year and second year students will be considered.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Looking to acquire a Law Degree
- Quick learner
- Strong attention to detail
- Good data skills with ability to incorporate good written & oral communication
- Strong interpretive, analytical and math skills with a strong attention to detail
- Vigorous problem solving and investigative abilities
- Ability to organize and disseminate information efficiently, write and/or adjust reports used to provide data quality metrics
- Must be able to work with and communicate to all levels of resources and management
