Job Description Job title: Mounting Technician BG/BU: AFA- Flexibles North America Location: Yuba City Job family: Operations Reports to (Title): Manufacturing Manager 1. Job Overview Mounting Technician is responsible for reviewing work orders, and production schedules, Mounter must have basic computer skills, prepares and places cylinders, mandrels, and sleeves on mounter, this includes laying backing cutting for different lengths, laying on sleeve, then mounting of plate, operating computer to send to appropriate press, when job is finished stripping plate off of plate sleeves, cleaning plate in plate washer, then filing them away, and cleaning of sleeves. Mounting technician will be tasked working safe and efficient with their main focuses on safety of themselves and their co-workers in and out of their departments, and to improve on safety, quality, and production at the facility 2. Job Dimensions Support Operations in the Mounting Department Part of the Operations Team No direct reports 3. Principal Accountabilities To be aware of, adhere to and help to improve all safety standards and procedures. To be aware of, adhere to and help to improve all quality standards and procedures. To be aware of, adhere to and help to improve all production standards and procedures. Possess good verbal and written communication skills Has a good understanding of current operating standards and practices. Willingly learns and applies new standards and practices Willing to learn and apply new skills Able to understand and make accurate measurements. Has basic, high school-level math skills. Able to read, comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions in English Has basic computer skills Understands and completes all paperwork related Mounting operations Can set up jobs on Mounting equipment to the ordered specifications Possess, and be able to apply, knowledge of the mechanics, operation, and basic maintenance of Mounting Equipment Able to troubleshoot operational issues with the Mounting equipment Have a strong focus on quality. Understand and perform all quality checks. Can identify and eliminate quality defects Completes tasks and produces quality product in a timely manner Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives Works with co-workers and management in a positive and constructive manner 4.
