Job Description
Position Overview:
Safely and efficiently performs functions in warehousing, material handling, and shipping to ensure proper materials flow to and from the production area, accurate storage and inventory of finished goods, and proper loading and unloading of trucks for shipping and delivery. As part of the shipping and receiving team, you participate actively in the Management of the warehouse and warehouse improvement.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate a forklift in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Load and unload trucks properly and ensure that material loaded and/or received matches bill of lading.

Supply necessary materials to the production area as required.
-
Transport finished goods as needed, properly and neatly store in the warehouse.

Participate in the management of raw materials and custom products by regularly reviewing the stocks and communicating with the departments concerned.

Prepare orders for customer’s pick-up and label boxes and pallets for shipments (e.g., FedEx, UPS, and GSO).

Communicate with trucking companies to coordinate pick up of customer orders by email, phone, etc.

Participate in the warehouse cleanliness and improvement in particular by maintaining and improving the 6S organization, cleaning, and sweeping.

Maintain and sustain a low level of waste.

Follow all established safety rules and guidelines.

Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and assist in monthly inventory and PPE order and refill.

May perform other related assignments at the direction of supervision.
Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED
-
Must have a forklift certification or completion of forklift training

Prior forklift experience in a materials function strongly preferred.

Good written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Basic computer skills (e.g., Outlook and Excel).

Must possess effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Must possess a high degree of attention to detail.

Must be capable of working safely and effectively in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.
