Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World BAS Operator/Controls Technician Amentum has a BAS Operator/Controls Technician opening at our Springfield, VA client facility. The selected candidate must be available for 24/7 operations to include evening, night and weekend shift work. Current shifts are 0600-1400 / 1400-2200 / 2200-0600. The BAS Operator/Controls Technician will perform maintenance and repair of building controls and automation systems. This type of work involves most of the following: diagnosing control system concerns and ensuring occupancy comfort; troubleshooting local ct6ontrollers, communication wiring, programs, and schedules; ensuring proper set points, schedules, and sequences of operations are correctly programmed; performing preventative maintenance tasks such as point to point checkout, sensor calibration, and software backup. The Controls Technician should work to ensure overall occupancy comfort is achieved while keeping focused on energy management. An experienced Controls Technician should be comfortable interacting with the building occupants in person as well as over the phone, and also should be able to recognize and identify opportunities to conserve building energy as it relates to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. A minimum of five (5) years experience in building automation/controls is required Certification as BAS operator; MD Stationary Engineer License Level 1 or DC Level 3 is required Ability to lift 45 pounds without help is required High school diploma or equivalent is required Must be willing and able to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts Must be a US Citizen.
