Financial Crimes Intelligence Analyst Junior

Amentum provides support to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) by researching and analyzing data to assist with ongoing criminal financial investigations, determine emerging trends and methods in financial crimes, and support government initiatives including national security relating to financial crimes. The Financial Crimes Intelligence Analyst shall assist in the collection, analysis, and evaluation of this data and present their findings in written intelligence products that include a variety of lengths, styles, and formats. These financial intelligence products support relevant policy makers, law enforcement agencies, regulators, and other FinCEN customers. The intelligence products include but are not limited to long term and short-term intelligence research products, briefing materials and research summaries. In some limited cases, the contractor may participate in various working meetings with FinCEN customers to gather information or present research findings.

ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance required

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze BSA filings, transactional data, open source, and additional sources to identify trends and patterns, detect anomalies, and map financial networks.
  • Write high-quality intelligence products for a variety of audiences.
  • Plan and execute long term research products with a focus on timely completion.
  • Manage priorities and deliver timely products while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and process improvement.
  • Upon request, create and conduct formal presentations.
  • Ensure proper recordkeeping of tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and under 5 years of experience in strategic and/or tactical investigative support work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources.
  • Experience with open-source research and analysis.
  • Ability to write high-quality intelligence products (that would be typical of the intelligence community) and briefings for a senior-level audience.
  • Experience in identifying financial crimes, such as, but not limited to, terrorism, money laundering, business e-mail compromise, and fraud.
