What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Security Officer 2 position at Amentum?
The Program Security Officer will provide advice for operational security, program protection planning, physical/ technical & Industrial security.
- Provide comprehensive security assistance and oversite to all facets of the program security, including, personnel, physical, technical, industrial, and operational security. Duties would include:
- Provide security advice and support program personnel and industry partners on personnel security, such as: required paperwork for personnel security clearances; appropriate clearance levels; tracking/checking status; ensuring paperwork is complete prior to submission; and ensuring the personnel security database of record is accurate and current.
- Assist in developing and maintain security manuals, program security plans, and briefings for various compartments and sub-compartments.
- Assist and provide advice regarding Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Control System, including classification management and classification review of information specifically protected under the program office.
- Brief and debrief program and contractor personnel into/out of compartmented programs. Ensure accurate personnel security data is documented/represented in sponsor’s system(s) of record.
- Coordinate security requirements for visits to/from sponsor, other government agency, and other contractor facilities, such as clearance verification, handling of classified materials, and electronic devises.
- Provide security indoctrinations and assist in security education activities to include briefing at sponsor’s security orientation programs.
- Assist in the annual DNI Control Access Program Oversight Committee (CAPOC) reporting.
- As required, develop documents required to establish new compartmented programs. At a minimum, this will include the establishment memorandum and/or checklist, indoctrination briefing, and classification guide. At the conclusion of program operations and/or activities, deploy disestablishment memorandum and ensure debriefing of 100% of briefed personnel.
- Assist, create and maintain appropriate security documentation, such as program security plans, program protection plans, and CONOPS. Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining program security processes, security manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Update training material and security awareness documents, as needed or at a minimum annually. Training material updates shall integrate, at minimum, trends, best practices, process/policy/regulations updates, and new or emerging treat, risks, or vulnerabilities.
- Investigate security incidents and potential security violations.
- Candidate would need a basic understanding of Communication Security (COMSEC) including serving as a COMSEC custodian as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience performing full range of PSO functions for national security programs Relevant industry certifications
- Experience supporting covert programs
- Preferred Proficient writing official reports
- Working knowledge of the NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and Executive Orders, to ensure security compliance
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance and in small dynamic teams often under time-constraints
- US government issued Top Secret security clearance required at time of application.
