Job Summary
Amentum is currently seeking a Mid-Level Project Controls Scheduler to join our team to develop and manage the scheduling efforts for design and construction projects of mission critical building facilities that are managed out of our Annapolis Junction, MD office.
You're a self-starting individual who enjoys the satisfaction of being part of a successful project team. Utilize your skills and apply your gained experience and understanding of project scheduling to accomplish the short and long term goals on mission critical projects. Your experience will benefit you in collaborating with associates and the customer in defining solutions to support the project goals. Your communication skills will allow you to convey clear and concise thoughts in written and verbal form. You will also utilize your understanding of project scope change management, scheduling and cost control to support the the project and the requirements of this position.
The Project Scheduler will be responsible for:
Developing and managing schedules for all projects in the Annapolis Junction Office.
Provide critical path analysis, identify problem areas, and create work-around solutions.
Prepare and submit monthly reports for internal and external clients.
Advises team on matters affecting project success, schedule and cost impacts, and develops project recovery plans.
Being a participant in project management teams to assist in meeting project deadlines.
Develop and maintain a change management program.
Identify out of scope work items and assist in creating change order requests to be presented to client, including estimated cost and schedule impacts.
Review and recommend action on change order claims from subcontractors.
Within area of responsibility, consistently identifies potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
Interface with internal project teams and external clients.
Experience with US Government clients within either the Defense, Intelligence or Diplomatic communities desired.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering/Construction Management and 5 years of experience in the Construction Industry or equivalent experience.
