System Administrator / Maximo

Provides Microsoft SQL Server system and database administration operating in an N-tier client/server application environment. Provides systems and application development using Microsoft Visual Studio. Creates reports using HTML, .ASP, .NET, SQL, Oracle and MS Access. Assists in the design, development or modification of applications and cost related reporting mechanisms. Will serve as Primary Maximo Systems Administrator

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

• Shows extensive knowledge of IT systems & administration concepts; Has strong computer skills
• Develop, deploy and maintain reports from Oracle or MS SQL Server data sources using HTM, .ASP, .Net, SQL, or VBx.
• Assists in complex application design, development, deployment and maintenance.
• Intranet site development, enhancement and maintenance utilizing ASP, .Net, XML/XSLT, Visual Basic and SQL Server or Oracle stored procedures.
• Assist clients with M.I.S. related problem analysis and resolution.
• Performs systems debugging tests; Implements DoD cyber security requirements for applications and databases; creates technical documentation for internal use.
• Prepares and submits technically oriented status reports and briefs to management and customers.
• Interfaces with Government counterparts and Harris operating personnel in software and database design considerations.
• Oracle and SQL Server administration.
• MAXIMO Server Administration
• Performs other duties as required/ (Examples: Fire Warden, Building Manager,
• Property Custodian, Service Desk rotation etc…)
• Performs other duties as required.

ENVIRONMENT:

• Customer contact, extended workday and office laboratory.

PHYSICAL ELEMENTS:

• Must be able to lift, push & pull 10-25lbs.Continuous walking or standing and continuous sitting.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 5 years of related Information Technology (IT) experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of application development or web application development using C#, Visual basic, XAML or other related development tools.
• Some experience in Oracle database management preferred.
• Maximo System Administration highly desirable

Certifications:

• Preferred candidates must maintain DoD and Navy Directive Cyberspace Certification compliancy to include preferred technical certifications.

DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduate or equivalent + 5 years IT experience or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; Oracle cert or 3 years Maximo experience
• DoD 8570/8140: IAT II

CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Security Clearance: Secret security clearance is required. Applicants selected must be a US Citizen in order to apply for a Secret Security Clearance Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment, and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.
