What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Labor position at Amer Technology, Inc?
Amer Technology is now hiring for Schneider Electric in Oxford, Ohio. Currently looking for individuals to work on the assembly line assembling parts.
Hours and Payrate:
1st shift- 6 am to 4:30 pm $16 hr.
2nd shift-4:30 pm to 3 am $18 hr.
Job description: Set up and operate equipment, including tooling and controls. Makes necessary gauge adjustments and settings. Selects proper raw stocks and checks against blueprint specifications. Segregates, sorts, and disposes of scrap and writes scrap tickets. Counts, reports, and records production. Transports material and changes truck batteries within acceptable limits. Maintains quality and productivity standards. Obtains and epoxy wrap busway according to specifications utilizing all necessary tools and equipment to perform the job. Coats surfaces of manufactured and purchased articles or equipment with finishing or protective material. j) Uses foam packer. Operates hoists. Assemble all types of devices, working from blueprints, sketches, and other established procedures and data. Alter parts to suit assemblies as required. Inspect, label, pack, and identify assemblies as required. Processes labels. Maintains equipment, including daily cleaning, dusting, tightening bolts, and detection of and reporting of abnormal conditions (heat, vibration, noise & leaks). Maintains good housekeeping and adheres to plant regulations and safety rules. Assist with hanging and removing parts on the powder coat line. Hanging and removing parts on the paint line. Selects, measures, cuts, and assembles lumber and crates products as required. Ability to lift 26 lbs. without assistance.
Requirements
- Must have a diploma you will be asked for a copy of it or transcripts before you start.
- Be able to lift 40 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
- Be able to do repetitive work 8-10 hours a day 5 to 6 days a week.
- Team player with a willingness to help others.
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
