Ameresco has a new opportunity for a Hands-on Plant Manager to join our Team at the Woodland Meadows High BTU RNG process facility , located in Canton, MI . Ameresco is searching for a highly motivated individual to Manage Plant personnel in the daily Safety, Compliance, Operations, and Maintenance of the facility. The Plant process includes numerous motor driven compressors, Blowers, pumps and ambient oil and gas coolers. Process also includes several media filled process vessels, valves, Chiller, filter systems and various gas analyzer and monitoring equipment. The plant is operated 24/7/365 to provide processed HBTU RNG to a utility pipeline. The individual would be required to work an 8 hour a day weekly shift plus after hours and weekend callout responsibilities as required. This position requires hands on accurate and accountable performance of all necessary duties to ensure safe and complaint operations.
Responsibilities:
Perform and direct daily operation, maintenance, and repair of HBTU RNG processing facility;
Understand the Environmental and Permit requirements for operation of the HBTU RNG processing facility;
Coordinate, schedule and participate with subcontractors and equipment service Reps to complete all required maintenance, repair and service work;
Ensure safe and optimum Gas processing facility operations;
Prepare and maintain all required reports;
Work independently and within a Team applying sound judgment and critical thinking skills;
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships;
Adhere to an assigned work schedule including the availability to be on-call as assigned by supervisor;
Learn all facets of the gas processing facility, equipment and Operation;
Learn and operate computer control system for the plant;
Follow Standard Operating Procedures for plant start-up and shut down;
Stay within operating parameters set by Supervisor and notify management of any production problems;
Maintain good housekeeping practices; and
Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 5 years Equipment operations experience using mechanical, electrical, instrument or control system skills.
Minimum of 2 years Supervisory/Management Experience of a HBTU or similar Processing facility.
Additional Qualifications:
2-year Degree in related field is preferred.
Experience performing mechanical maintenance on blowers, compressors, and equipment is desirable.
Experience with Gas Processing or similar systems desirable.
Understanding of PLC, electrical power equipment, and gas plant operations experience desirable.
Knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity, both AC and DC, and Arc Flash Hazards.
Basic knowledge electrical and electronic testing equipment.
Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience Supervising Operations and Maintenance personnel.
Experience Planning, Scheduling and Directing plant maintenance outages.
Experience developing and implementing work schedules.
Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.
May require travel and flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.
