What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Consultant l position at AmeriBen?
Report to our Meridian, ID office at least two days per week preferred.
Job Purpose
The Human Resources Consultant I completes various projects and provides consulting on HR-related topics to help enhance clients’ organizational performance. Promotes and sells HR Consulting products and services to various size clients in all industries, both public and private. Leverages client organizations’ own values in delivering tailored work products.
Key Functions
- Delivers training and workshops in the Pacific Northwest, up to 20% travel.
- Develops training content and works with clients to design customized, targeted training programs.
- Maintains positive and productive client relations by performing outreach on a regular basis.
- Promotes and sells packages and fee-for-service projects through defined sales channels and up-selling to fulfill clients’ needs.
- Performs various Excel and data driven project work on behalf of private and public clients.
- Ensures compliance with HR laws and regulations to provide clients with accurate information.
- Writes materials for newsletters, forums, and other briefings.
- Continues to grow professional skill and knowledge on an on-going basis.
- Adheres to AmeriBen culture by demonstrating Integrity, Initiative, Good Judgment, and Teamwork.
- Performs other duties as needed related to HR consulting, which could include providing Resource Center Hotline support, conducting employee opinion surveys, 360 reviews, or other similar HR-related projects.
Required Experience:
Minimum Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience at the HR Generalist, HR Manager level, or delivering training/education.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use good judgement and discretion in a business environment.
- Ability to analyze and convey technical data and pricing information.
- Good organizational and follow-up skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadline
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Adult education training and curriculum development.
- Knowledge of compensation practices and methods.
- Experience working with data, job descriptions, and data analysis, especially with advanced Excel tools.
- Accounting or Finance experience.
