Overview
Responsible for growth of the Credit Union’s Indirect Loan Portfolio through building and maintaining relationships with Auto dealers. Responsible for introducing, executing, and monitoring sales promotions with the dealerships. Maintains contact with the dealers through regular visits and provides insight and training to the dealers in regards to the Credit Union’s product offering. Serves as a contact point for indirect, marketing and dealers and will follow up with dealers on any funding and lending issues. Responsible for maintaining a high standard of professionalism while working with Auto Dealerships on the Credit Union Direct Lending Platform. Completes reports and maintains records appropriate to maintaining appropriate controls on the position.
Responsibilities
Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of Dealer relationships.
Visits dealerships to inform and assess dealers and members satisfaction of relationships.
Become a key contact for dealerships and the Marketing and Indirect departments.
Analyzes dealer relationships and leverages those relationships to increase/maintain market share.
Introduces and monitors dealer sales programs and provides accurate tracking of dealer performance in relation to goals.
Specifically reports to dealerships and departments areas of concern and maintains a high level of professionalism and understanding of our members and credit union’s needs.
Assumes responsibility for the effective administration of Department functions.
Keeps management informed of activities, progress toward established objectives, and of any significant problems.
Attends meetings as required.
Effectively and accurately manages time and responsibilities.
Establishes a professional relationship with accountability of the dealers and the Credit Union to function in a manner consistent with overall goal and vision of the Credit Union.
Completes required reports and related documents promptly and accurately and in compliance with credit union guidelines and policies. Ensures maintenance of department records.
Ensures that security procedures are effectively implemented.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with management, dealerships, department personnel, members, and vendors.
Receives and responds to telephone calls. Answers routine questions or directs them to the appropriate personnel. Records and relays messages.
Maintains the Credit Union’s professional reputation.
Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication. Assigns, directs, and coordinates work.
Ensures that dealer requests and questions are promptly and courteously resolved.
Qualifications
Training/Education/Certification:
College degree in sales or related field or equivalent experience required.
Required Knowledge:
Understanding of dealership functions.
Thorough knowledge of Credit Union loan products and applicable policies and standards.
Knowledge of member services, accounts functions, and products.
Knowledge of related computer applications.
Experience Required:
At least 4 years related experience at a Credit Union or similar financial institution.
