What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at American Contract Group, Inc?
3 month, short term assignment; on-site work; no citizenship restrictions; immediate start date.
- Create standard fabricated piece part drawings for all fireboxes and briquette trays dimensioned in both metric and imperial. (Add in Cleco fastener holes to achieve BMP of DFMs weldments)
- Create weldment drawings of all fireboxes and briquette trays dimensioning in metric and imperial.
- Create 3D solid models of fireboxes and briquette tray fabricated parts, purchase parts and finished assemblies.
- Candidate must be skilled in sheet metal drafting and modeling using SOLIDWORKS.
- Candidate must be capable of reverse engineering physical parts if documentation is incomplete or not in existence to create technical documentation. This may require the candidate to work on the shop floor.
- Candidate needs to complete documentation to allow AAI to successfully prototype parts prior to transitioning production.
