Objectives of this role
As a Rigger , you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving heavy equipment and machinery on construction sites.
Your expertise in rigging techniques and equipment operation will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform rigging tasks to move and position heavy equipment and machinery.
- Inspect and evaluate equipment and materials for safe rigging operations.
- Set up and dismantle rigging equipment, including cranes, hoists, and cables.
- Secure loads using appropriate rigging techniques, ensuring stability and safety.
- Collaborate with the construction team to plan and coordinate rigging operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow and safe operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and accidents.
- Maintain and inspect rigging equipment for proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any rigging-related issues that may arise during operations.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports related to rigging activities.
Required skills and qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Rigger in a construction or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
