Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Event F&B Service Manager is responsible for managing services in various food and beverage outlets
Compensation
$20.00 - $28.00 an hour
Responsibilities
- Manage dining room and event operations to ensure room is properly setup (tables, chairs, linens, table settings, glassware, etc.). Ensure service staff are in proper uniform
- Create shift sheets
- Communicate with service and kitchen staff regarding reservations and/or special events; conduct a pre-shift/pre-event meeting
- Control food and beverage costs
- Create reports for leadership and accounting by maintaining accurate daily and weekly punch details
- Maximize food and beverage sales by identifying and targeting sales opportunities
- Enforce policies requiring the confirmation of legal drinking age and discontinue service to intoxicated guests
- Assist General Manager in the delivery of staff meetings
- Implement and support initiatives and programs requested by management
- Other duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must be of legal age to sell and serve alcoholic beverages, applicable state card or certificate must be provided if required by state law
- Experience in resolving customer issues/complaints as well as overall excellent customer service required
- Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Solid time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Proven ability to effectively build and foster a team environment
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license required
Education
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in customer service role within the hospitality industry
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in golf, hospitality, or service industry required

Working Conditions
- Food & Beverage Service Manager may be required to fill in as bartender, server, host, cook etc. to relieve staff during peak service hours
- Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs
- Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
