Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The GLC Golf Instructor is responsible for sharing their passion for golf with others by teaching at the Golf Learning Center (GLC).
By working closely with the General Manager, the GLC Golf Instructor identifies opportunities to drive participation and membership into the GLC.
Responsibilities
- Assist General Manager in all aspects of Golf Learning Center management by performing instruction, marketing and customer service-related duties
- Research and incorporate state of the art teaching methods
- Teach Junior Academy assigned curriculum
- Assist General Manager with the implementation of adult and junior instructional programs, clinics and individual lessons
- Assist General Manager with development of program designed to attract new and existing golfers
- Acknowledge, greet and thanks all members and guests
- Maintain and promote a positive professional image
- Facilitate private instruction when not engaged in aspects of golf instruction program
- Report on instruction program data on a regular basis
- Implement and support all American Golf initiatives and programs as requested by management
- Other duties may be assigned by management
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Member of the PGA or LPGA preferred
- Ability to customize instructions to fit a variety of learning styles required
- Solid sales, customer service, time management and relationship management skills required
- Excellent customer service orientation and a focus on customer satisfaction is required
- Basic math skills
- Valid driver’s license required
Education
High school diploma required (Specialty / Technical Training preferred) and 2 years related experience in golf instruction theory or equivalent combination of education and experience

Working Conditions
- Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull.
The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
