Job Purpose
The Host / Hostess presents a positive first impression by greeting guests and members upon arrival. The Host / Hostess monitors a wait list, informs guests and members of their wait time, escorts guests and members to their table, and bid farewell as they leave.
Responsibilities
Greet incoming and departing guests and members warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area;
present menus; announce waiter's name
- Use visual cues to seat guests and members in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference
- Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
- Manage the flow of guests and members into the Dining and Bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriate
- Tend to special needs and requests

- Ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
- Experience answering phones
- Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment
Education
- High School diploma preferred
- T.A.B.C. Certification required if serving alcoholic beverages

Working Conditions
- Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs
- Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required
