The Leasing Agent is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for prospective and future tenants.
Responsibilities:
- Fields and responds to leasing inquiries from prospective tenants. Works to persuasively present information to prospects on housing properties to create applications.
- Negotiates lease offers; executes and explains leases and related documents to future tenants. Performs leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize housing occupancy.
- Works with underwriting and leasing writing teams to channel applicants through the leasing process. Maintains up to date knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.
- State Real Estate License required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, planning and analysis skills.
- Strong relationship management, organizing and customer service skills.
- Must be able to meet multiple deadlines.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to implement process improvement changes.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to pay close attention to details.
- Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
