About this Position:
Maintain overall supplier parts quality (match to drawing) and supplier development to achieve overall Honda requirements in the area of quality. Lead Quality engineer staff to do the same and provide final approval/sign off on all countermeasure activity. Provide strategy for PQ group regarding investment, expense, manpower allocation, etc before presenting to Unit Lead level for final approval.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage Exempt level associates within the PQ team to assign and track completion items of daily tasks
- Develop future department strategy to include roles, budget, strategy, equipment, supplier management, etc.
- Plant level reporting on key department metrics in alignment with corporate business goals (SMQCD), Budget, Business Plan, Scorecard, and Quality Day.
- Manage group projects and ensure schedules are maintained.
- New model development coordination and QAV schedule as well as MP approval of all parts quality
- Evaluate and approve PQ documents (PPAP, timelines, supplier status, MI, deviation)
- Final approval of HTR and follow up on countermeasure activity with PIC
- Training and associate development
- Approval of supplier visits to include task lists, travel, final report
- Lead all supplier negotiation regarding part quality related items

Required Experience:
- 8 years’ experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree
Other job specific skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication, Equipment/Robotics experience
Additional Position Factors:
- Knowledge of testing equipment and its primary use
- Knowledge of basic quality standardization practices
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and PDCA
