American Pride Bank is searching for a full-time IT/Operations Manager. This position will manage network administration, coordinate and oversee 3rd party vendor relationships, coordinate technology projects and assist in product integration and support. This position will also coordinate Business Continuity Plans and assist in preparing for State/Federal banking examinations and outside independent auditors as necessary. Responsible for the ongoing management of information security policies, procedures, and technical systems to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all organization information systems.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the security and stability of the Bank’s information technology resources.
- Coordinates with Executive Management to enhance the IT system via procurement of hardware, software and necessary equipment.
- Responsible for the timely analyzing and approving the installation of hardware and software updates and other patch management directives.
- Maintains advanced knowledge and awareness of financial industry technical issues and trends.
- Responds to IT inquiries and exhibits the necessary follow through with customers or staff.
- Serves as the Administrator for the Bank’s network, Jack Henry Core Processing Applications, and Cognos.
- Maintains all Jack Henry Core Processing Applications and Electronic Banking Products.
- Assumes responsibility for IT-related special projects.
- Gathers data, prepares reports, and facilitates meetings for the IT Steering Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Manages business continuity and disaster recovery functions.
- Trains employees in information technology procedures.
- Is responsible for all systems analysis and applications coordination.
- Helps coordinate information security procedures for the bank.
- Reviews and improves existing software and equipment.
- Manages backup procedures.
- Manages documentation and correction of system failures.
- Ensures conformance of Information Systems policies and procedures and bank’s objectives.
- Manages all IT related policies and provides timely updates.
- Assists network users in accessing network resources and operating software programs.
- Devises procedures to solve computer equipment and software problems.
- Implements and maintains application software.
- Ensures proper maintenance and configuration of file servers and phone and voice mail system.
- Ensures compliance with State and Federal rules, regulations and laws.
- Implements all vendor upgrades and all End of Year.
Information Security
- Responsible for overall management of the Bank’s Information Security Program.
- Manages and updates all policies related to the Bank’s Information Security.
- Oversees the audit process of internal and external penetration testing and other necessary IT audits.
- Trains bank staff of information security.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business or related fields.
- 2 - 3 years of Information Technology Management.
- Extensive knowledge of hardware and software products.
- Knowledge of Jack Henry Banking platform desired.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to establish priorities, organize workflow and satisfy deadlines.
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and conform to bank & regulatory requirements.
- Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed for systems monitoring & support.
