What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager position at American Tire Depot?
We are looking for a goal-oriented, friendly and energetic Service Manager to join our team. Help American Tire Depot be recognized as the best one- stop tire and auto service provider, while you progress in your career through experience and continuous education in the automotive field.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers while adhering to American Tire Depot customer service values. Recommend services that meet or exceed the manufacturer's recommendations and align with the customer’s needs.
- Manages the workflow of the shop to effectively meet customer requirements by serving as the conduit between the sales staff and assigning jobs to the shop technicians.
- Trains service technicians and schedules other training as required.
- Makes recommendations for hiring, firing and disciplining of service techs.
- Ensures that company policies are being followed with regard to safety and established operating procedures.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of auto repair and shop management skills, including scheduling, inventory purchasing, expense control and customer service.
- Valid Driver's license and DMV report with 2 points or less
- Must be able to meet ADA requirements including standing for long periods of time and some lifting, up to 70 pounds.
- High school or equivalent
