American Truck Equipment is looking for an Installer / Assembler with knowledge in mechanical and assembly skills. We need someone who is self-motivated, Mechanically handy, and able to pay attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepares work to be accomplished by following assembly instructions. Study parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
- Assembles components correctly; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Install all equipment on a specified Work Order into the truck.
- Accept full responsibility for* “quality installs, on-time, every time” *for every Work Order that is handed out to you.
- Use extreme care when operating company equipment, driving company vehicles, and driving/installing equipment in customer’s vehicles.
- Ensures workspace is kept neat and orderly
- Ensures that highest levels of safety and efficiency are adhered to.
Skills / Attributes Required
- Candidate should possess Critical Thinking skills
- Work with a can-do, positive attitude
- Interior equipment installation using specialty hand tools, power tools, gauges and equipment on a daily basis.
- Assembly experience
- Electrical/wiring experience
- Strong time and task management skills
- Must be physically fit and able to bend, twist and lift loads up to 50lbs.
