Position: Acquisitions Manager

American Way Storage is a growing self-storage company located in Central Illinois, and we are seeking a full-time Acquisitions Manager to help expand our company. Over the last 3 years, the company has expanded to over 20 towns across Illinois, and our model for growth has been very successful. The Acquisitions Manager will be responsible for the complete life-cycle of acquiring new self-storage facilities including: prospecting and developing relationships with potential sellers, providing senior leadership with information needed for decision making, navigating the specifics of closing the sale, and preparing the operations team to take over day-to-day management of the new facility. This is a unique opportunity for someone with an interest in sales or real estate to join a company that is constantly growing. We are looking for someone who can stay organized, follow details, and think critically. Patience is equally important as the deal-making process can be a lengthy cycle. Candidate may need to travel to view facilities and meet with sellers in person throughout Illinois. Candidate must be independent and self-driven, demonstrate good people skills, excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Candidate will have a flexible schedule so long as results are generated.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

● Communicate with and maintain funnel for prospective facility acquisitions

● Schedule, coordinate, and meet with facility owners. Travel will be required to our facilities within a 250 mile radius of Mattoon, IL. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

● Create financial analysis on potential acquisitions

● Inspect properties and provide feedback regarding general maintenance issues

● Work flexible hours as needed to accomplish objectives of the position

● Assist with continued growth of the business

● Any projects or additional duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Minimum education: College degree; business degree preferred

● Excellent communication, time management skills, and attention to detail

● Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF

● Access to a reliable automobile, cell phone with calling and texting capabilities, and access to Wi-Fi – REQUIRED

● Must be willing to travel in a 250-mile radius from Mattoon

● Willing to work very hard, and flexible schedule as needed

COMPENSATION:

Hourly position, pay commensurate with experience.

Potential for additional bonus pay
