American Well Services is located in Midland, TX and provides variety of oilfield services for the purpose of workover or completion operations. American Well Services offers a wide range of support services including, hot oilers, dump truck haulers, sandblast, and coating, frac tank haulers, vac truck haulers, kill trucks, and trash trailers. American Well Services is managed by seasoned industry veterans and services blue-chip customers in the Permian Basin with a substantial asset base, strong safety culture and industry-leading operating procedures. American Well Services provides a full suite of completions and workover solutions to customers throughout the Permian Basin.
A Winch Swamper is an entry level position with on-the-job training. The Winch Swamper will assist a driver with the use of equipment, such as spotting, dropping equipment, tying down, and other work, as needed.
Responsibilities:
Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner
Assist Operator with backing, watching lines, and clean ups
Spot and assist to correctly set up frac tanks on location
Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
Ability to work extended hours, and weekends as required
Attend monthly safety meetings
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Abilityto work as instructed and willing to be coached by skilled worker
Ability to work manual labor tasks
Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements, including, but not limited to pre-employment drug screen and MVR review.
Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law.
Maintain a valid U.S. Drivers License.
Continuation of acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines.
Continuation of participation in random drug testing program
Abilityto communicate well with others on site in English and Spanish
Knowledge of equipment, trucks, and trailers
Able to follow instructions from the driver
Knowledge of how to properly usechains, straps load, unload and tie down load
Able to stand, walkuse hands to handle or feel; reach overhead with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50pounds independently
Able to work in inclement weather such as, wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE
