Description
The .NET Developer I is responsible for the basic applications, databases, software programs, and computer processes used by Americollect. He/she writes programming code, tests functionality, assists in leading implementations, and performs upgrades throughout the production lifecycle. Requirements
- Partners throughout IT/Business Solutions to define, design, and develop basic applications, databases, software programs, and computer systems based upon specified requirements that fulfil the needs of Americollect and its clients. Writes programming code and assists with implementations with a focus on streamlined integrations with existing technologies.
- Produces clean, efficient, and well tested code and basic queries based upon specifications that ensure the performance and availability of the production environment are not negatively impacted.
- Confirms proper functionality of the above technologies by creating and performing testing plans for a diverse set of scenarios. Performs upgrades and routine analyses throughout the production lifecycle to identify, develop, and implement enhancements, such as improved efficiencies or security. Promptly troubleshoots and resolves functionality issues as they arise.
- Follows the Secure Application Development Stages. Performs on-going security testing and code review to improve software security.
- Follows change management best practices by assessing risk and tracking and managing changes to artifacts, such as code and requirements, prior to deployment.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation capturing key information and process mapping for the above technologies.
- Researches new approaches towards programming, emerging development tools, and other reputable technologies that may benefit the department.

Required Education
Two Years of College or Associate's Degree
- Focus: Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant field
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree
OR Comparable Experience
- Focus: Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant field
Experience
- 1 year(s)of experience writing and testing programming code in a professional setting (ideally in SQL, XML, Json, C#, C , VBA, or VB.Net languages) preferred
- 1 year(s) of experience partnering with key stakeholders throughout the business to implement or enhance technologies preferred
Knowledge & Training
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts required
- Knowledge of relational databases, such as MSSQL preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Proficient in SQL, XML, Json, C#, C , VBA, or VB.Net programming languages preferred
- Proficient in Visual Studio preferred
