Community Resource Coordinator VISTA member will support vulnerable newcomers including refugees, asylees and survivors of human trafficking living in the collar counties of Philadelphia to engage with needed services and supports to lift themselves and their families out of poverty toward self-sufficiency. The VISTA will strengthen the network of area community partners, engage with partners to provide free workshops and engage with individual, group and corporate volunteers to provide needed support to the community. focus on Delaware and Montgomery counties.
Member Duties : The Community Resource Coordinator VISTA will primarily support NSC's Survivor Services department. The VISTA member will expand community supports for this client demographic and continue to foster partnerships.Expand NSC's network of community partners with a focus on health services, mental health services, community based agencies, housing supports, education resources and financial literacy resources. Attend area collaborative meetings to foster connection with available resources. Conduct outreach to other local organizations to explore partnerships in support of particularly vulnerable clients
