What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eco3.23 Summer VISTA position at Americorps?
Eco3.23 Summer VISTA
We are seeking individuals that have a heart to serve their community primarily in the area of creating food security but would love to see how your passions and skills can be utilized over the summer within our other projects as well. This position features a flexible start - anytime in May or June. It can be an 8-week, 9-week, or 10-week duration depending on your start date. We do have some housing options available for our summer VISTAs. The Ecolibrium3 VISTA Corps began in 2017 and focuses on expanding the capacity of local organizations and government agencies to address intractable community issues. The program uses a holistic model to address poverty that includes centering on equity and inclusion, food access and systems, government policy, community development, education, and design-thinking and creative placemaking. The Eco3 VISTA Corps has 41 full-time positions and 10 Summer Associates. We encourage our Summer Associates to explore service and then consider joining our community for a year. Our members work with governments to build equity and health into community plans; nonprofits to advance neighborhood revitalization and economic success for residents; public health and tribes to combat opioids and hunger; and community organizations to expand opportunities for youth. The Ecolibrium3 VISTA Corps uses its depth of community knowledge to identify which levers may produce the largest impact on reducing poverty. Eco3 has received multiple national awards for our community work. Join us and make a difference! Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
