Warehouse Cooler Supervisor

SUMMARY

The Warehouse Cooler Supervisor will oversee all Cooler activities to import and export perishable and pharmaceutical goods. The Supervisor will lead, train, and assist warehouse staff in proper cooler operations as it pertains to receiving cargo, ULD build-up, cargo breakdown, and Agricultural inspections. The incumbent will be responsible to keep the cooler facility clean and in compliance to all applicable regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:

• Keep cooler facility clean, organized and presentable as described in the cleaning schedule
• Ensure cooler temperature is kept within acceptable range.
• Report any issues that may affect the integrity of the cooler facility, its equipment and temperature in a timely manner.
• Maintain cooler equipment and tools in working condition.
• Ensure proper and accurate reception of all goods.
• Maintain a constant line of communication with other operational departments as it relates to any inbound or outbound flight.
• Maximize aircraft ULD pallet capability during cargo built up process.
• Participate in training seminars, informational meetings, and audits.
• Recommend corrective measures for CAPA.
• Supervise team of up to 25 employees; manage payroll, Paid-Time-Off request, employee performance evaluation and corrective action plans.
• Monitor and schedule according to workflow demand.
• Audit cargo procedures are done accurately and issue corrective measures.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS/MEASUREMENTS:

The Warehouse Cooler Supervisor must ensure that perishable goods and pharmaceuticals are kept within acceptable temperature range. The equipment and tools are in working order and minimize downtime because of equipment failure or damage. The Company will use the temperature monitoring system as a performance indicator of temperature maintenance. Training records must be kept up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:

• 3-5 years of warehousing experience (perishable operations preferred)
• Intermediate- Advance level Computer skills
• Forklift certification (preferred)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

• Warehouse operation knowledge
• Forklift operation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years Lead or 1-3 years Supervisor experience
• Handling of perishable and/or pharmaceutical goods a plus

SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:

• Strong computer aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret operational manual and policies.
• Successfully lead and motivate staff

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

• Ability to walk, stand, or sit for a long period.
• Able to work in a temperature controlled environment.
• Able to reach or bend. Lift up to 50 pounds or as a team more than 50 pounds.
