Web 2.0 UI Developer

We are looking for a Web 2.0 UI Developer to assume a primary role in designing, developing, and tuning, advanced, highly usable, reliable & high-performance Web 2.0 software applications for the next-generation social networking space, running on Windows , Linux & MAC platforms.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, unit test and maintain new features of web 2.0 UI and widgets

Use and extend Yahoo UI SDK, which forms the basis of our front-end components

Design and implement new product features, and ensure performance, correctness, security and maintainability of the product.

Prepare, review, and edit design specs

Implement and review bug fixes

Work constructively with other team members

Aid in the QA process as needed

Support live deployments with detailed product knowledge, debugging expertise, and code updates

Requirements

sMinimum BE/M.C.A. in Computer Science with 2 years experience

Strong experience in Web 2.0 technologies (Struts 2.0, JSPs, XML, CSS, Tag libraries, AJAX , HTTP(S), HTML, MIME, CAPTCHA, etc.)

Must be proficient in Java and .jsp development

Experience on Yahoo UI SDK is a big plus.

Adobe FLEX experience is a plus

Demonstrated understanding of agile software development processes

Excellent problem solving ability.

Ability to analyze requirements and design software at system, subsystem and unit levels.

Ability to identify problems and effectively resolve within a development framework

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment balancing efficiency and quality with deadlines

Ability to generate clear and accurate technical documentation given a template and minimal instructions

Ability to communicate effectively to management and peers verbally, electronically (email) and through documentation

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within development and project teams that require a high-level of interaction between team members

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
