Step into a pivotal role as a Financial Planning Assistant with an experienced Financial Advisory franchise with Ameriprise Financial. We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive team member to support the many different tasks for which the practice is responsible and ties directly to the overall business plan of the practice.
This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering, and analyzing client data, helping prepare client deliverables, working with clients to resolve issues and other practice management tasks as needed. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities and time allocation will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Client appointment preparation
- Review prior meeting notes and correspondence to identify items needed; prepare appropriate forms and paperwork.
- Complete portfolio analysis and provide preliminary recommendations for rebalancing or adjustments.
- Manage and distribute incoming client information.
- Run illustrations and hypotheticals.
- Monitor economy, markets, and world events to determine any required strategic rebalancing.
- Work with an advisor on completion of financial plans and prepare financial plan deliverables for client presentation.
- Client appointment follow up.
- Complete trades and new business submissions in a timely manner
- Monitor transactions and new business for completion and accuracy.
- Complete client management notes and/or follow-up correspondence
- Update multiple tracking tools daily.
- Client contact
- Take incoming and make outgoing client calls as needed.
- Email clients for information requests or follow up items as needed.
- Participate in client meetings to take notes and collect appropriate information and documentation.
- Advisor support and office administration
- Assist the Advisor on any tasks needed to ensure a smooth workflow and delivery of a positive client experience.
- Assist the Client Service Manager with office operations such as mail, technology, marketing, and special events.
- Manage and maintain wholesaler relationships.
Required:
- At least 2 years of prior experience

Preferred:
- Have or be willing to study for and pass exams for federal and state licenses and registrations for securities -including Series 7, Series 66 and state life, accident & health insurance licenses.

Salary will be based on education and experience.
