The Systems Architect role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the computing resources to meet the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design systems related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction. This person will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
* Lead operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
* Assist in the definition and communication of corporate plans, procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new systems, equipment, software, and other technologies.
* Advise management teams on their relative importance and financial impact.
* Benchmark, analyze report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the system infrastructure and other systems.
* Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for systems infrastructure and project initiatives.
* Responsible for development and implementation of system infrastructure policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provisioning.
* Develop requests for proposal.
* Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
* Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals
* Keep current with the latest technologies.
* Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio.

o Azure (Azure AD) and AWS (IaaS) Design, Implementation and Support
o SSO/SSL/TLS Support and Management
o Design, Implementation and Support of VMware Technologies (vSphere, Vsan and SRM)
o Office365/M365 Implementation and Support
o Intune Design, Implementation and Support
o MAM/MDM Design, Implementation and Support
o VDI support (Citrix)
Industry and Work Experience:
* 7 years of experience in IT with a focus in Systems Engineering.
* Strong technical knowledge of virtualization and storage platforms.
* Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
* Extensive support experience with Microsoft technologies.
* Proven experience in private/public cloud infrastructure planning and development.
* Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
* In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
* Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
* Strong understanding of project management principles.
Academic:
* Associates degree or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* Bachelor's degree in Technology or related field preferred
