SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:
Provide support to the division by conducting closing documentation reviews of commercial loan packages as well as modifications for accuracy, adherence to credit policy, regulations and to the credit approval while limiting risk. Identify and document, any variances from policy. Assist management by providing training and support regarding the documentation review process and providing support for loan servicing matters. Serve as primary backup for various documentation functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Conduct prefunding/closing review of loan documentation packages along with review of reaffirmation and modification packages for accuracy, adherence to credit policy, and adherence to the credit approval while minimizing risk.
2. Identify and document any variances to regulatory, approval and policy in risk management software for reporting purposes. Notify the appropriate Relationship Manager of such findings.
3. Follow and maintain the funding process procedures which include: closing review approval and the completion of funding log information utilized for reporting purposes.
4. Maintain procedural / training binder outlining the process and tools needed to conduct a prefunding/post-closing review.
5. Assist the manager of the department to provide direction, training, guidance and coaching to less experienced employees in the department.
6. Prepare or review risk management reports and verify accuracy.
7. Provide oversight for the processing of paid loans and appropriate release of collateral. Prepare the paid checklist for commercial loans, indicating the appropriate disposition of collateral at payoff.
8. Work collaboratively and cooperatively with all Lending and Loan Administration personnel to identify and implement streamlined processes and improvement efficiencies.
9. Assist with various loan servicing functions.
10. Enhance and promote AmeriServ Financial Bank through participation in community organizations, activities, and projects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee is frequently required to: 1) Type or otherwise work with fingers; 2) Talk expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers or clients accurately, loudly, or quickly; 3) Hearing – perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with/without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make the discriminations in sound. 4) Specific vision abilities required by this job include: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading along with travel as required.
Sedentary work may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds. This work involves sitting most of the time with walking and sitting.

No travel is required for this position except for possible trainings and/or meetings.

REQUIRED/ PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
A degree in Business or related field is preferred and/or three (3) years of experience in a commercial/retail loan documentation environment is required.
