IT Specialist

Summary:
We are seeking an IT Specialist to be responsible for various IT related duties, including computer and network support, computer implementation, computer repair, cable termination, network equipment installation, organizing and maintaining a stock room, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Provide IT support for all end users in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain the practices of the IT Policy and execute all procedures designed to keep the network secure.
• Assist with the implementation of new and existing equipment in both a manufacturing and office environment.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all technologies utilized in the Ameritex Facilities while also continuing training if needed.
• Maintaining a clean and coordinated network structure, as well as the termination of various cable combinations. (Ex: Straight through, Cross-Over, etc.)
• Assist in the deploying of all computers related items that could consist of but not limited to the following: networking equipment, desktop computers, laptops, tablets, cameras, enclosures, and others.

Education and Experience:

• Two to four years of experience in providing computer and network support in a business level environment.
• Associates degree in Computer Technology related fields is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• CompTIA A certification

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience preferred in the following systems: Webroot, Unifi Networking, Office 365 Products

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands/fingers to handle or feel and talk or hear. Prolonged periods of working in and out of the shop environment or at a desk working on a computer.

The applicant must be able to work from a ladder, run various types of cables through open and closed spaces, and terminate said cable. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
