The Pipe Foreman Civil will be responsible for :
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Instill Safety as a top priority.
- Provides on-site supervision and direction to crew members.
- Familiar with project specifications and ability to understand plans.
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
- Ensure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weekly.
- Fill out daily foreman reports.
- Ability to explain and understands survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS)
- Manage all excavating activities for your crew.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years as a pipe foreman / supervisor in the Highway Heavy Civil Construction Industry
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices.
- Must be familiar with heavy equipment
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power tools.
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50lbs.
- Positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills.
- Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
Working Conditions
- Travel - This project is located in Metro Area, MN. Subsequent projects will be nationally based.
- Schedule - Work assignment will be weekdays from 7 : 00am through 3 : 00pm, with the occasional need to work overtime.
- Construction Site Environment - physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Lifting and carrying material and objects.
Exposed to high noise levels.
Ability to pass a Pre-employment drug test is required
