The Medical Interconnect subdivision of AMETEK, EMC is currently searching for a skilled Controller with a strong work ethic. Ametek EMC is a Business Unit of AMETEK, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices. This position manages and coordinates the daily accounting function for the Medical Interconnects sub business unit within AMETEK EMC. This includes monthly close of financial systems, preparation of monthly financial statements and coordination of monthly forecasts. This position also performs financial analysis and makes recommendations for improved operating results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Direct monthly financial close process ensuring accurate financial results and requirements are complete within corporate time lines. This includes coordinating the monthly close of General Ledgers, upload of financial information into the Corporate HFM system, preparation of monthly forecasts, account reconciliations and financial reports. Analyze and interpret financial results. Monitor performance against budget and update forecasted results as needed. Provide financial information to all departments and assist in resolving questions and issues. Accountable for the timely and accurate completion and presentation of company annual budgets, monthly forecasts and business reviews. Prepare capital appropriation requests, monitor capital spending and annual allocation for the business. Ensure adherence to corporate policies. Evaluate accounting policies and procedural control systems and continuously improve effectiveness and compliance. This includes up keep of required Sox documentation and self-testing and posting results in the Corporate SOX database. Coordinate the collection of all pertinent information requested by the Corporate Tax Department necessary to complete the Corporate Tax returns. Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
