Job Summary
Are you an experienced stitcher or do you want to learn? We are currently seeking a candidate to work full-time in our Strafford, New Hampshire state-of-the-art climate-controlled production facility and we’ll train you to sew on an industrial sewing machine. Must be able to move easily between sewing and standing while folding and packing the items sewed. This is an entry level position and an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and establish a solid career path in a warm and welcoming, fast paced, team focused environment. No formal education required, but previous experience with stitching is a plus.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Ability to read, interpret and process items on a work order.
2. Must be motivated, responsible, able to take direction, work independently and most importantly, and be detail oriented.
3. Sewing and packaging orders as outlined on customer work orders
4. Maintain a clean, clutter free work area
5. Adhere to production schedule and quality standards
6. Communicate effectively with supervisor, operators and co-workers
7. Clean and maintain work area
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to move easily from sewing to packaging items sewn
- Team Player
- Strong work ethic, willing to do whatever is asked of them
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
- Hardworking with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
