Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking an IT Developer Intern who will assist team members by performing tasks necessary to support the Guidewire teams, as well as build foundational skills and knowledge in this area.
You will take part in various training, support and project activities aimed to help you become more familiar with the team, department structure, and IT Industry.
Location:
Open to fulltime remote and hybrid work options.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday during normal business hours, as schedule allows.
Hourly rate: $18 or $20 depending on year in school

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develops and delivers software that meets established standards as well as expectations for performance, business impact, and user experience.
- Understands and applies agile development best practices, and other approaches for iterative development of production-ready software.
- Follows policies for secure code development and engages in secure coding practices.
- Fosters and demonstrates CIS Core Values to achieve service objectives and deliver value.
- Independently learns from failures or missteps and applies learnings in various contexts.
- Fosters a culture that values learning and creativity both individually and as a team.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an IT Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college/university.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Java experience Strong OOP understanding.
- Familiarity with basic computer concepts.
- Desire to work in a technical field.
- Curious, inquisitive and willing to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be well organized and have the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to complete routine tasks independently over time. This includes gaining the functional, technical and problem-solving skills needed to complete assignments.
