The role
As an account manager, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day activities, from running status meetings to developing timelines or statements of work. Whether you choose to work remotely, or from our offices in Chicago or Princeton, you will work closely with our internal teams, clients and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Key responsibilities
- Perform project tasks related to account management, including but not limited to:
- Monitoring account budgets and creating reports
- Scheduling internal and client meetings
- Develop and maintain client status documents, timelines, and tracking documents
- Maintain financial documents of assigned projects (forecasting, invoicing, budget reporting, etc)
- Collaborate effectively with editorial, client services, digital and design colleagues to ensure the smooth running of projects from briefing to delivery
- In collaboration with the Client Services lead, establish and build positive long-term relationships with client teams, authors/KOLs, and internal teams
What you’ll need
- A bachelor's degree; science background preferred, but not required
- 1–3 years’ experience in a client services role within a healthcare communications agency preferred
- Great organizational skills and confidence in tracking and managing multiple, concurrent projects
- A detail oriented mindset
- The ability to construct clear, concise, error-free, communications (written and verbal) that provide details required for a specific audience (internal and client), including clear expectations/action requested and relevant implications (ie timing, costs, etc)
- Experience of setting clear expectations for tasks and deliverables
- The ability to identify potential financial issues related to the project and escalate appropriately
