What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemist 2 position at Ampcus, Inc?
The major responsibilities of the position are:
(1) to manufacture production materials following standard operation procedures under GMP environment;
(2) to transfer new products from development to production by verification and validation, and
(3) to improve existing production processes. Daily activities include synthesis and purification of organic compounds; performing material purity analysis using HPLC, Maldi-Tof mass spectroscopy, LC/MS, NMR, UV-visible spectrophotometry and other analytical methods; filling experiment batch records; and interactions with quality assurance and validation departments.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in chemistry with 4 years experience, or Master s/PhD degree in chemistry with 0-2 years, of relevant experience in organic synthesis.
Industrial experience is preferred.
Experience includes multiple-step synthesis of organic compounds, purification of organic compounds using preparative HPLC, flash column and other chromatographic techniques, and analysis of structure and purity of organic compounds using analytical HPLC, mass spectrometry, NMR, UV-visible and other analytical tools.
Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Prior work experience with GMP is a plus
