What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-ray/CT Technologist position at Amtex Systems Inc.?
Job Description
- Performs ordered examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and X-ray and CT protocols of the individual site and reading physician.
- Transports patients to and from the mobile coach/facility. Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach and during the exam.
- Maintains technical competency through ARRT CT registry examination, continued education, participation in hospital competency sponsored training programs.
- Under guidance and approval of site ordering Physician, radiology supervisor and or Radiologist, administers contrast agents and/or radiopharmaceuticals according to site-specific protocols.
- Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient.
- Provides images to the facility in the desired site format.
- Maintains confidentiality of all department and hospital information according to established procedures.
- Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
- If applicable, assists with the set up and tear down of equipment in accordance with BGMH and/or manufacturers' guidelines.
- Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility
